Krupp Robotic Symposium 21.11.2019
Dear friends and colleagues,
Following our satisfying Krupp Robotic Symposium last year with our honorary guest Mr Shamin Khan, Kings College London, we are happy to announce our third Krupp Robotic Symposium. This time we would like to invite you into the historic Villa Hügel, a symbolic centrepiece of the industrial ‘Ruhrgebiet’.
We are proud to announce our highly recognised guests. Prof. Karel Decaestecker from Gent, Belgium, is going to perform a live radical cystectomy and Prof. Peter Wicklund is going to conduct the intracorporal urinary diversion with his team from New-York/Stockholm. Furthermore, we could win Prof. Shamin Khan from London und Prof. Klaus-Peter Jünemann from Kiel, Germany as speakers to guide us through the operation.
The Venue
Some people would call Essen the Metropole of the rhine-ruhr-area. With an important steal and coal mine history Essen holds some UNESCO World Heritage sites, the coking plant and the mine of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. The structural change is visible throughout the city. After the mine has been closed in 1993 green areas in the city are spreading.
Villa Hügel, the former residence of the Krupp Family is symbol of the industrialisation in Germany and property of the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation. Nowadays it welcomes art exhibitions and concerts and it is home to a permanent historic Krupp exhibition.
We look forward to spending an interesting and exciting day with you at Villa Hügel.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. med. Stephan Buse and the team of the Department of Urology and Urological Oncology
